History and Beginnings

In 1992, Master Abbas Mortazavi founded the Isatis Mosaic Tile Workshop.

He dedicated more than 30 years of his life to creating mosaic tile artworks and incorporating this traditional art into architectural spaces. Throughout his career, Master Mortazavi contributed to the decoration of numerous buildings, including schools, hospitals, mosques, Hussainiyas, and other architectural landmarks. Some of the notable projects featuring his mosaic tilework include:

  • Jameh Mosque of Yazd – New Mihrab
  • British Embassy
  • Imam Hosseini House, Yazd
  • Embassy of Oman
  • Embassy of Oman
  • Shahid Kamal Eslami Mosque, Yazd
  • Shrine of Imam Musa ibn Ja'far (PBUH)

Charva Galleries

The first handicraft store in the historic district of Yazd was established in 1997 by Master Mortazavi under the name Isatis. The gallery was created to bring together outstanding works by artists from across Iran and present them to art enthusiasts.

After years of activity, the gallery was renamed Charva. Today, with four active branches, Charva Gallery showcases more than 30 different artistic styles, created by talented artists from across Iran, and proudly welcomes visitors in the historic city of Yazd.

Charva Corporate Gifts

Charva Corporate Gifts is an initiative dedicated to introducing Iranian handicrafts and art into the gifting programs of organizations, institutions, and both public and private companies.

Each gift is thoughtfully designed and produced in harmony with the visual identity of the organization. Through professional customization and a creative approach, every piece is developed and delivered efficiently while maintaining its artistic character and uniqueness.

Charva Seven-Color Tiles

Charva specializes in the production of traditional seven-color tiles, featuring a wide range of motifs and techniques, including floral patterns, Eslimi motifs, calligraphy, single-glazed designs, and more.

Charva seven-color tiles have been used to decorate numerous private and public architectural projects throughout Iran, including:
